We have made it clear that we will exterminate you if you engage in terrorism. A J&K BJP spokesman stated

On Thursday, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organized processions in Srinagar, Bengaluru, and Jaipur as part of its 11-day Tiranga Yatra, a tribute to the Indian armed forces for their successful execution of Operation Sindoor.

Jammu and Kashmir

The Jammu and Kashmir BJP unit held rallies across the Valley, including in Srinagar, Pahalgam, and Kupwara. In Srinagar, party activists gathered at Sher-e-Kashmir Park and marched to the iconic Ghanta Ghar at Lal Chowk.

BJP spokesperson Altaf Thakur stated, “This is a celebration of our army’s victory. Operation Sindoor showcased their bravery, destroying terror networks in Pakistan.” He emphasized that India has sent a clear message against terrorism, adding, “We will eliminate those who engage in terror activities.” Similar rallies took place in Pahalgam, the site of a deadly terror attack on April 22 that killed 26 people, mostly tourists, prompting Operation Sindoor, and in Handwara, Kupwara district.

Rajasthan

In Jaipur, Rajasthan BJP leaders praised the armed forces for “crushing terrorist networks” through Operation Sindoor, describing the Tiranga Yatra as a societal tribute to the military. The procession, led by Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma and Deputy CM Diya Kumari, started at Albert Hall and ended at Badi Chaupar. Hundreds of BJP workers and locals marched with the national flag, chanting patriotic slogans.

The procession was showered with flowers at New Gate, Bapu Bazaar, Sanganeri Gate, Johri Bazaar, and Jama Masjid, where members of the minority community joined to promote communal harmony. CM Sharma said, “The nation’s outrage after the Pahalgam attack was met with a decisive strike on terrorist bases in Pakistan. I thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Cabinet for empowering our forces.”

Karnataka

In Bengaluru, the Karnataka BJP organized a Tiranga Yatra from Malleshwaram, with participation from students, ex-servicemen, and diverse groups. A 1,500-foot-long national flag was displayed during the event, attended by leaders like state in-charge Radha Mohandas Agarwal, Leader of the Opposition R. Ashoka, and MLA Ashwath Narayan.

Ashoka clarified, “This is not a political event; it’s a tribute to our soldiers. People from all walks of life are welcome.” However, a cut-out of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in army fatigues sparked debate over the event’s “apolitical” claim. Agarwal criticized Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah for alleged “anti-Hindu and anti-national” remarks, contrasting them with Deputy CM D.K. Shivakumar’s support for the armed forces.
